Water Resource Implications of Minnesota's Biofuel Development

There is a growing public interest and concern over potential water shortages associated with the rapidly growing biofuel industry in Minnesota.

Policy makers and the general public wish to hear accurate, comprehensible expert opinions on this subject. As a first step, we are organizing a seminar where relevant experts can share their
knowledge and experience and discuss an analytical framework for addressing the water-biofuel issue. (read more...)

Summer IE Lab Retreat 2008 (posted Feb 2, 2008)

This summer, we will have a retreat in Northern Minnesota.

Desitination: Leech Lake, MN

Reserved is a cabin at Leech Lake with 9 bedrooms with maximum capacity of 28 people. One large pontoon boat and one large fishing boat is reserved too. Click to see photos.

It will be from 10th June to 15th June (5 nights). Please mark your calendar for these dates.

All the lab members and families are invited.

Dr. Sangwon Suh elected as a Governing Council member of the ISIE (posted Jan 15, 2008)

As a reult of the general voting involving all lay members of the ISIE, Dr. Sangwon Suh was elected as a governing council member of the ISIE in Jan 2008. He will serve the society from mid 2008 for 3 years of term.
